MARAMA is currently working with partners throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases through the following programs:

PORTS OF WILMINGTON, DE AND PORTS OF PHILDELPHIA, PA TRUCK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM - Dray truck owners serving the Ports in Pennsylvania and Delaware can apply for up to $30,000 towards the purchase of a newer vehicle with model year 2011 or newer engine.  Help reduce emissions by participating in this incentive program funded by the EPA.  For the program FAQ's and to download a program application, please click HERE 

VA DERA  Dray truck owners serving the Port of Virginia can apply for up to $27,500 towards the purchase of a newer class 8 vehicle with model year 2012 engine.  Help reduce emissions in Virginia by participating in this incentive program funded by the EPA.  For the program FAQ's and to download a program application, please click HERE.  

For information about the GREEN OPERATOR TRUCK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM managed by Virginia Clean Cities please use this link http://www.greenoperator.org/ Through August 31,2017 a rebate of $20,000 is available per truck.  Effective October 1, 2017, a $30,000 rebate is available. 

MARYLAND FREEDOM FLEET VOUCHER PROGRAM – Financial assistance for purchase of new and converted fueled vehicles registered in Maryland.  Incentive amounts vary based on gross vehicle weight. For an application and more program information click on above link.

SMARTWAY PROGRAM – Launched in 2004, SmartWay® is an EPA program that helps the freight transportation sector improve supply chain efficiency. SmartWay reduces transportation-related emissions that affect climate change, reduce environmental risk for companies and increase global energy security. VIRGINIA ALTERNATIVE FUELS PROGRAM-State agencies and local governments air quality non-attainment, ozone attainment and/or maintenance areas in Virginia may be reimbursed for incremental costs to transition to alternative fuels such as electric, natural gas or propane autogas up to $10,000. No scrappage is required.
