The Mid-Atlantic Diesel Collaborative is a partnership between leaders from federal, state,and local government, the private sector, and environmental groups in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. The Collaborative is part of an overall national campaign to reduce diesel emissions.
MARAMA is currently working with partners throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region to put more than $6,000,000 to work reducing air pollution and greenhouse gases through the following programs:

SMALL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS RETROFITS - Small contractors in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, PA can apply for funding up to $100,000 to retrofit or repower construction equipment. SMARTWAY DRAY TRUCK REPLACEMENTS - Dray truck owners serving ports in the region can apply for a $20,000 down payment to replace older vehicles. PORT OF VIRGINIA DRAY TRUCK RETROFITS - Dray truck owners serving the Port of Virginia can apply for a rebate up to $6,000 to retrofit vehicles with diesel emission reduction equipment. |
MID-ATLANTIC MARINE REPOWERS - MARAMA is also working with partners to repower two tugs and one excursion vessel operating in Mid-Atlantic waters. Funding for this project has been allocated.
